In 1953, Breuer built an addition to the home of Dr. Gustave Aufricht. Breuer designed an enclosed porch that opened onto a terrace enclosed by a stone wall. An open pergola shaded the sliding windows that offered a view of the terrace. The addition also included a storage room and a bathroom with a shower, both of which were housed in a separate volume clad in vertical cypress siding.
