Television and radio research and manufacturing company founded by Philo Farnsworth in 1938. For the Frank House, Breuer created a custom cabinet for Farnsworth equipment.

1934

The Federal Housing Administration provides mortgage insurance on loans made by lenders approved by the agency. Congress created the Federal Housing Administration in 1934. It became part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Housing in 1965.

Furniture manufacturer. Breuer was supposed to be a director in the corporation and was engaged to design a suite of hotel furniture. It is unclear whether the designs were ever built or if Breuer had any further involvement with the firm.

The Furniture Design Council (FDC)was established by Act of Britain's Parliament on January 1st, 1949. It was separate from, but owed its existence, at least in part, to the Furniture Working Party (FWP), which had recommended the establishment of a tripartite body to oversee the furniture industry. Jack Pritchard served as the Executive Director and Secretary of the FDC until his retirement in 1963.
