Pittsburgh department store founded in 1871. The Kaufmanns were enthusiastic supporters of modern design, and the store carried Breuer’s furniture, among other modern designs. Breuer ordered furniture and fabric for the Frank House from the store.

Aircraft manufacturer. In 1943, the company approached Hans Knoll about furniture production. Knoll included Breuer in the meetings with A. Thornton Baker, who was involved with postwar planning for Kellett.

Contractor who hoped to bid on the Witalis House. The Andrew Johnson Corp. eventually received the contract.
