Olgyay, Aladár (1910 - 1963)

Hungarian architect. In 1934, he graduated from the Technical University in Budapest. He opened a practice with his twin brother, Viktor, in 1938. Among their most well-known buildings in the Stühmer Sweet Factory in Budapest. They emigrated to the US in 1948 and wrote a book on sun control devices which included information on the sunshades for the UNESCO Headquarters, Secretariat Building. Peter Blake wrote a book about the brothers.
