She and her husband, James, lived in one of the four houses on Woods End Road in Lincoln, MA. The house was funded by Helen Storrow and designed by Breuer and Gropius. She was the author of many books on modern architecture, including "The Modern House in America," which she wrote with her husband. She also acted as Architectural Editor for the magazine House and Garden but resigned in 1951, when the editor required her to focus on traditional, rather than modern houses.
