Little is known about Breuer’s designs for the Grote House in Dessau, Germany. This single image of the interiors shows Breuer working within the self-imposed constraints of this phase of his career. The sparse furnishings consist of a tubular steel chair and a wood desk with enameled drawers upon which sits a glass-globed Bauhaus lamp designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld.
