The Haus am Horn was the centerpiece of the 1923 Bauhaus exhibition. It was designed by George Muche based on an earlier design by Fred Forbát. Adolf Meyer from Walter Gropius's architectural office supervised the construction. Breuer designed furniture for one of the bedrooms - including a woman's dressing table and a large wall unit - and the living room. Breuer qualified as a journeyman in June of 1923 based on the strength of the dressing table design.
