In 1929, Breuer designed two variations of a weekend house. These single-story structures were to have wood frame construction with exterior stucco and interior plywood walls. Both versions consisted of an open rectangular space that could be divided by a curtain or movable partition. The buildings possessed flat roofs that sloped slightly at each end and paned glass living room walls.
