Breuer was unhappy with the standard manufactured frames for sliding glass windows. He designed a frameless sliding window in which the sliding portion moved on stainless-steel ball bearing hardware. A teak pull bar was cemented to the glass near the center of each window allowing the inhabitants to move the window. Breuer continued to refine the details of this window system over the course of his career, and a version of this window can be found in many of his residential projects.
