In 1949, Jacob and Ruth Marshad commissioned a house in a development called Harmon Park Community in Croton-on Hudson, NY. The rectangular one-story house clad in vertical cypress siding was connected to a separate garage structure by a covered walkway. As with many of Breuer's residential buildings, the living-dining room and kitchen were at one end of the house while the bedrooms were at the other. The south façade featured large expanses of glass set among painted plywood panels.
