Little is known about this project for a sun tower, which consisted of an elevated platform reached by an exposed staircase. The revealed structure and strong diagonals of the platform call to mind Russian constructivist projects such as Vladimir Tatlin's 1919 Monument to the Third International. Breuer may also have been influenced by similar projects designed by Bauhaus students for Johannes Itten's Preliminary Course.
